May 2, 2009 - Sophia's 2nd Birthday Party

Sophia had a ladybug themed party for her second birthday. She was all excited about her party. For days we had been teaching her how old she was going to be. So if you ask her, "How old are you?", she'll hold up 2 fingers and say "Two." It's adorable!

The cake came out amazing! It was absolutely perfect! We got it from the continental Bakery in Swansea- I highly recommend it. It tasted great and was a good price!

We had a lot of people at her party and she had fun playing with her friends and cousins.

She got some great clothes and toys, as well as a dollhouse from Mommy & Daddy. She acted like a typical toddler, she had an attention span of about 5 seconds per present before she was off to do something else. She was great at ripping the presents open and got very excited about what was inside. She oohed and ahhed over the cute clothes she received. I heard a lot of "That's so cute!" from her while we were taking out clothes from the gift bags. lol.

David seems to be the official photographer of Sophia's birthday parties. It's awesoem having a friend who majors in photography. lol! We're waiting to get the pictures back from him that he took. I know that they'll be 100 times better than mine. Plus he got some pictures of her blowing out her cake.

Egg hunt at home.
Another egg hunt at the neighbor's house.

April 11, 2009 - Easter Egg Hunt, Birthday Parties and Rock Band

We took Sophia to her first Egg Hunt at North Elementary on the day before Easter. She was so excited. She loved picking up the eggs and was even more excited when she saw the Easter Bunny. She ran up to him yelling, "Hi Bunny!" and showing him her basket. I thought she would be afraid of him like she was last year, but she wasn't!

After the Egg Hunt, we had my cousin Kurt's 9th birthday party. She couldn't play laser tag with all the other kids, but she loved the spider web arcade game and the car racing games.

After Kurt's party everyone went over to my parents house to some family Rock Band time. We left at about 10:30 exhausted from the long day. My poor parents- everyone else stayed until 3:30 in the morning!

April 9, 2009 - Dying Eggs

After the art show, we came home and dyed eggs for Easter. Although, she looks happy in the pictures, she did not want to participate and cried for majority of the time. Oh well, next year she'll probably enjoy it more. I think she was so tired from the excitment of the art show.

April 9, 2009 - Art Gallery

We took Sophia to an Art Gallery in New Bedford that was hosted by our friends Jess and David.

Sophia had a blast there. She loved looking at all of Jess' paintings and David's photography.

Jess specializes in custom animal portraits
, so if you would like a custom pet portrait check her out at http://www.jessboyerart.etsy.com.

Sophia was the star of the show. David had taken a series of pictures of Sophia's first time at the beach last year when she was 10 months old, that he displayed that night.

If you would like to contact David for Graphic Design, Photography or Web Design, you can email him at vitiare_solari@yahoo.com.

Anyway, Sophia had fun running around the room and playing with anyone and anything she could find.

Afterwords, she had fun playing with Uncle James' drum set.

Christmas and Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house with all of the extended family. We open all the presents from grandmother, aunt, uncles, etc on that day. When we go home we each get to open 1 present. Sophia got a cheerleader costume from me and a magna doodle from Daddy. We opened Sophie's gift to us, which were 2 ornaments that had her picture on it. She made it in day care.
Our Charlie Brown Christmas tree- Sophia started stripping the ornaments off the tree, so it's a little bare.

Christmas Morning

She was excited about "Zelle's" castle! She loved the movie "Enchanted" and the main character is a princess named Giselle. It came with a prince and she carries him around saying "Pwince Ehwad" - Prince Edward is also in the movie. lol
She made out good. Santa got her:
-crayons
-paint
-paint brushes
-coloring books
-construction paper
-Disney Potato Heads
-a Mickey Mouse ride on car
-A Dora the Explorer art tray
-big girl underwear (hoping to start potty training soon!)
-a Little Tikes Castle slide- it has a rock wall to climb up it. Great for when we're stuck in the house this winter!

She's having fun playing with all her new toys!
