Christmas and Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house with all of the extended family. We open all the presents from grandmother, aunt, uncles, etc on that day. When we go home we each get to open 1 present. Sophia got a cheerleader costume from me and a magna doodle from Daddy. We opened Sophie's gift to us, which were 2 ornaments that had her picture on it. She made it in day care.
Our Charlie Brown Christmas tree- Sophia started stripping the ornaments off the tree, so it's a little bare.

Christmas Morning

She was excited about "Zelle's" castle! She loved the movie "Enchanted" and the main character is a princess named Giselle. It came with a prince and she carries him around saying "Pwince Ehwad" - Prince Edward is also in the movie. lol
She made out good. Santa got her:
-crayons
-paint
-paint brushes
-coloring books
-construction paper
-Disney Potato Heads
-a Mickey Mouse ride on car
-A Dora the Explorer art tray
-big girl underwear (hoping to start potty training soon!)
-a Little Tikes Castle slide- it has a rock wall to climb up it. Great for when we're stuck in the house this winter!

She's having fun playing with all her new toys!

December 22, 2008 Making Cookies

This year Sophia and I made homemade cookies. We made sugar, chocolate chip and gingerbread cookies. We cut the sugar cookies in to Christmas tree and snowmen shapes and then frosted them and added toppings.

She thought they were funny. She ate a couple bites, but wasn't too into them.

Dancing with Auntie Courtney (notice the ripped border in the back..... that was the little darlings handiwork. She apparently didn't want to take a nap one day, so she decided to tear down her border... I was sooo mad! lol)

This is how a princess eats breakfast

The huge snowstorm- she was so mad that she couldn't really walk around. She kept holding her hands up and asking for "hep" (help)

Thanksgiving 2008

Sophia had a good Thanksgiving. She enjoyed the turkey, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole and the rolls. It was a relaxing day. She loved dressing up in her pretty dress.

November 2, 2008 Providence Children's Museum

We took Sophia to the Providence children's museum for the first time. She had so much fun. Her absolute favorite exhibit was the water room. I knew that would be her favorite, so we saved it for last.

She climbed onto this and was waving at Mark saying "Hi Dada". It was adorable.

She LOVED this cow! Other than the water room, this was probably her favorite thing. She did want to get off it and everytime we moved on to something new, she kept running back to it saying "The cow, the cow!". She loves her animals.
She had a blast in the little kids sections. She climbed this all by herself, over and over and over...

Sophia was terrified of this chair. As you can see she has a death grip on my neck.

Daddy's Girl

I think Mark liked this exhibit more than Sophia.

Halloween 2008

Sophie was Tinkerbell this year and loved the costume. She still wears it around the house a lot. We had her Halloween pictures taken at Sears and they came out so cute! We had to go have them taken on 2 different nights because Sophia was not cooperative..... she was running around the room, not wanting to sit, pulling up the backdrops.... a total nightmare. We finally had the manager get her interested and distracted long enough to get some cute shots.

Sophia loved Halloween again this year. By the third house we went trick or treating at she was a pro. She walked the neighborhood holding her bag and wanted to go up every driveway. She loved climbing everyone's stairs and tried to go into everyone's houses.

We were happy that Mark go to join us for round 2 of trick or treating later that night after he got out of work. Sophia loved showing off for Daddy.

Professional Pics

I love this one- I was tickling her knees to get her to laugh.

Halloween night- she loved playing with the candy, but did not like to eat it. She had a few licks of a lolipop and a bite of a hershey bar. She's not a sweet eater.
